CiTY OF PLEASAN i Oi <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RE:SOLUTION NO. 67-2 <br /> <br />REQUEST~ LOCAL AGENCY FOP, RATION <br />COl~f~SSI~ TO CHANGE BOUNDARIES OF <br /> PROPOSED DUBLIN ANNEXATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at Hayward, California, on December 1, 1966, the <br />Local Agency Formation Commission of Alameda County did condition- <br />ally approve the "Dublin Annexation", including lands both north <br />and south of Interstate Route 580; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Volk-McLain Communities, Inc., as owner of the <br />Walker Ranch, being approximately 600 acres southwesterly of <br />Interstate Route 580 and Hopyard Road, has applied and may receive <br />residential zoning for the southerly 260 acres of said property; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, annexation of residential property after inhabited <br />is a difficult and uncertain process; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the rimming of the two elections required for the <br />approved Dublin Annexation is not certain at this time; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The City Council of the City of Pleasanton does hereby <br />respectfully request the Local Agency Formation Cormuission of <br />Alameda County to change the boundaries of the proposed Dublin <br />Annexation, withdrawing the 600 acres of Volk-McLain Coup-unities, <br />Inc., lying southwesterly of Hopyard Road and Interstate Route 580 <br /> <br /> 2. The Local Agency Formation Commission is respectfully <br />requested to approve as an uninhabited annexation to the City of <br />Pleasanton the 600 acres of Volk-McLain Communities, Inc., as a <br />separate annex. <br /> <br /> 3. The City staff is authorized and directed to present the <br /> City's position before the Local Agency Formation Co~nission, and <br /> to request prompt action by said Commission. <br /> <br />BATED: January 3, 1967. <br /> <br />WARREN R.
