CITY Of PLr ASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />67-42 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION CONCERNING ANNEXATION NO. 52, <br />"DUBLIN A~FNEX", DECLARLNG THE CITY COUNCILtS <br />INTENT TO CALL A SPECIAL ANNEXATION ELECTION <br />AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR PROTESTS BY <br /> PROPERTY OWNF_~S <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br /> <br /> 1. It is the intent of the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton to call a special election to be held on a date to be <br />fixed in the future pursuant to Section 35122 of the Government <br />Code of the State of California, in certain inhabited territory <br />contiguous to the City and proposed to be annexed thereto, and <br />within the City, pursuant to Section 35122 of the Government Code. <br /> <br /> 2. The purpose of said election shall be to submit to the <br />qualified electors residing in the territory, and within the City <br />in a separate election held at the same time, the question whether <br />or not said territory shall be annexed to the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> 3. Said property is designated as "ANNEXATION NO. 52, <br />DUBLIN ANNEX", being all that real property in the Township of <br />Pleasanton, Alameda County, California, further described as <br />follows: <br /> See EXHIBIT "A" attached hereto <br /> and made a part hereof. <br /> <br /> 4. Notice is hereby given that on April 24, 1967, at the <br />lout of 8:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers, Women's Club Building, <br />Vineyard Avenue and Regalia Avenue, any person owning real propert <br />within said territory so proposed to be annexed and having any <br />objection to the proposed annexation may appear before said City <br />Council and show cause why such territory should not be annexed. <br /> <br /> 5. Such protest shall be made pursuant to Section 35120 of <br />the Government Code and shall be in writing, shall state the name <br />or names of owner or owners of the property affected and the loca- <br />tion and area of such property in general terms. <br /> <br /> 6. If it be found that protest is made by public and private <br />owners of a majority of the separate parcels of property within <br />the territory proposed to be annexed, further proceedings shall <br />not be taken. <br /> <br /> 7. If no majority protest is made, further proceedings <br />shall be taken, including the holding of special elections within <br />the territory and within the City. <br /> <br /> 8o The City Clerk shall cause written notice of the proposed <br />annexation to be mailed to each owner of an equitable or a legal <br />interest in land (other than an easement) within the territory <br />where said owner has filed his name, address and a general descrip- <br />tion of his land, sufficient to identify it on the last equalized <br /> <br />- 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
