CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 01-069 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY <br />FORMATION COMMISSION TO TAKE PROCEEDINGS <br />FOR THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION NO. 147 (KOLB) <br />PURSUANT TO THE CORTESE-KNOX LOCAL <br />GOVERNMENT REORGANIZATION ACT OF 1985 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton desires to initiate proceedings pursuant to the Cortese-Knox <br />Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, Division 3, commencing with <br />Section 56000 of the California Government Code, for the annexation of <br />approximately 61 acres, Annexation 147 (Kolb), and requests initiation of <br />proceedings thereon; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the territory proposed to be annexed is uninhabited, and a description of the <br />boundaries of the territory is set forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by this reference; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this proposal is consistent with the sphere of influence of the affected city; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the reasons for this proposed annexation are as follows: <br /> <br />This is a logical extension of the City limits and the City of Pleasanton should <br />have control over the development of this property. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />The Local Agency Formation Commission of Alameda County is hereby requested <br />to take proceedings for the annexation of territoEv as described in Exhibit "A", <br />according to the terms and conditions stated above and in the manner provided by <br />the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
