The title to water service facilities and easements <br /> owned by the District in said territory be <br /> transferred to the City, with their present value <br /> fixed, and a payment schedule from the City to the <br /> District be set. <br /> <br />2. The City assume duties and enforce the Agreement for <br /> Purchase of Water Refund Rights dated January 5, <br /> 1967, between Valley Community Services District and <br /> Volk-McLain Communities, Inc. <br /> <br />3. The water service facilities, constructed by the <br /> District and subject to the so-called refund rights, <br /> be used to benefit the City, the land and the <br /> people within said territory. <br /> <br />4. The City assume duties and enforce agreement for <br /> sewage ~or sewage capacity ~igh~s dpted October 3, <br /> 1961, between Valley Co~unzty ~ervlces District and <br /> Volk-McLain Communities, Inc. <br /> <br /> 5. The sewage facilities constructed by District and <br /> subject to the above agreement he used to benefit <br /> the City, the people and the land within the <br /> territory. <br /> <br /> 6. Annexation Agreement dated June 19, 1967, between <br /> City and Vo½k-Mc.Lai~ Con~unities~ I~5.,_for Annex <br /> No. 53 contxnue xn tull force aha ezzec=. <br /> <br />Reasons for the City proposal are as follows: <br /> <br />1. To prevent an o~erlap for City services. <br /> <br />2. To prevent added taxes on land and people within <br /> the area° <br /> <br />3. To provide uniform planning for land use south of <br /> Interstate Route 580. <br /> <br />4. To consolidate and improve water service in the <br /> territory. <br /> <br />5. To avoid duplicating sewage transmission facilities. <br /> <br /> 6. To avoid duplicating fire-fighting facilities. <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br /> <br />
