CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />R£BOLUTION HO, 68-54 <br /> <br />SUPPORTING PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS AND <br />~NT CARE FUND AT CEME~RY KNOWN <br /> AS PLEASANTON I~MORIAL GARDENS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council and membe~s-.of the community have <br />been critical of the cafe of Pleasanton Memorial Gardens, also <br />known as the International Order of 0ddF~llows Cemetery, located <br />at 5780 Sunol Boulevard, Pleasanton, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the local Lodge <br />Pleasanton Memorial Gardens have recognized the need for <br />ment and a better maintenance program; and <br /> <br />and the <br />improve- <br /> <br /> WHEI~A~, the Board of Directors of Pleasanton Memor{al <br />Gardens have unselfishly contributed their time and resources to <br />establish a betterment program; <br /> <br />NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The City Council does hereby recognize the accomplish- <br />ments made by the local Lodge of the International Order of Odd <br />Fellows and the Board of the Pleasanton Memorial Gardens. <br /> <br /> 2. The City Council does offer its endorsement and approval <br />for the "Permanent Care Fund" for future maintenance of new plots. <br /> <br /> 3. The City Council further recognizes the financial <br />problems, and urges persons and families owning plots prior to <br />the establishment of the Care Fund to pay the deposit necessary <br />to join the Permanent Care Fund. <br /> <br />DATED: April 1, 1968. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />WARREN R, HARDI~yor <br /> <br /> <br />
