UTIDN NII. 68-86 <br /> <br />SETTING POLICY FOR AQUATIC SWIM <br /> CENTER CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />RESOLVED: <br /> <br /> Upon recommendation of the Recreation and Park Commission, <br />the City Council does hereby fix its policy for construction of <br />aquatic swim centers as follows: <br /> <br />A. The City shall build aquatic center complexes at <br /> appropriate locations throughout the City. <br /> <br />B. The aquatic centers shall not exceed a total of <br /> three during the present planning period. <br /> <br />C. Locations of aquatic centers shall be given priorities <br /> as follows: <br /> <br />First, Orloff Park; <br />Second, close proximity to the high school <br /> site on Foothill Roa~; <br />Third, close proximity to the high school <br /> site near Sycamore Road. <br /> <br />The term Aquatic Center shall mean a multi-pool facility; <br />~hich may or may not be enclosed; each center shall <br />include substantial landscaping and picnic areas, plus <br />a multi-purpose pavillion within its confines. <br /> <br />DATED: May 13, 1968. <br /> <br />BERNARD T, GERTON, MayOr <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />
