HIRST, City Attorney <br /> <br />Date 7-/-¢- G~ - <br /> <br />REAFFIRMING CITY POSITION ENDORSING POOD STAMP PROGRAM <br /> <br /> Alameda County with grants of <br /> monies. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED= <br /> <br /> 1. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />The Federal Government has discontinued its support of <br />the Food Stamp Program in Alameda County. <br /> <br />The City of Pleasanton did endorse on June 20, 1967 <br />by Resolution No. 67-114, the Food Stamp Program as a <br />means of further serving persons receiving welfare from <br /> <br /> local, State and Federal <br /> <br />That the City C°uneil does hereby reaffirm its previous <br />position regarding the Food Stamp Program. <br /> <br />That the City Council does recommend to the Alameda <br />County Board of Supervisors that every effort be made <br />to re-establish this worthwhile program. <br /> <br />That copies of this Resolution shall be sent to Alameda <br />COunty, the Freemont-Newark-Union City Economic Oppor- <br />tunity Agency and other interested public agencies. <br /> <br />DATED= Jul~ 1, 1968 <br /> <br />BERNARD T.
