HIRe, City Att~ie~ <br /> / <br />Date (~ ~.L, ~q/~YP J <br /> <br />E~ABLISHING AND APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> ADVISORY COMMITTEE UN COMMUNITY GROWTH AND SCHOOL FINANCING <br /> <br />WHEREAS: School problems, although not directly related to <br /> <br /> pal problems, are of concern to the City Council of the <br /> City of Pleasanton~~ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS.' It is thought desirable for the City of Pleasanton to, <br /> so far as possible, cooperate with affected school <br /> districts in an attempt to better understand <br /> <br /> trict problems and to attempt to develop solution~.,.~to <br /> said problems~ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS= It is thought desirable to afford to responsible Citizenl <br /> the right to participate on an advisory basis in an <br /> attempt by the City and affected school districts to <br /> solve problems relating to the financing of school con- <br /> struction and the continuing effort to provide higher <br /> quality education consistent therewith~ and <br /> <br /> The appointment of a committee upon which would be repre- <br /> sented school district officials, ~ity o~a~s and <br /> responsible citizens would be desirable, ~t only to <br /> ~iscuss current 9roblems ~ut to become awa~e of and <br /> anticipate problems which have not &1ready bee~ <br /> <br /> by the school districts and the City of Pleasanton. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS= <br /> <br /> 1. That there is hereby created an Advisory Committee to <br /> which are appointed the following members: <br /> <br />Councilman Robert Reid <br />4525 Mirador Drive <br /> <br />Dr. James Kane - Trustee <br />401 Oak Lane <br /> <br />Allen Fox <br />1976 Brooktree Way <br /> <br />Jim Gregory <br />5420 Northway Road <br /> <br /> <br />
