CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA JtrPnu~.'u~to TO FO,dY~ HiRSh C~ty Attorn~ RESOLUTION NO, {~8-144 _ RESOLUTION DECL~=RING ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS INITIATED BY CITY COUNCIL, ~.ND GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION DESIGNATED ANNEXATION NO. 55 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 1. These proceedings are initiated by the Council of the City of Pleasanton to annex to the City of Pleasanton all that unin- habited territory described below. The Council acts on its own motion, pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939", (Sections 35300 et seq. of the Government Code) as amended. 2. The City Council does hereby desire to annex said uninhab- ited territory for the following reasons: Said territory is contiguous to the City, a part of the General Plan, a~d one of a series of annexa- tions necessary in expanding the City boundaries. The area can be served by City sewer and water, and is the next logical step in the City's. growth. 3. Said uninhabited territory is situated in the Township of Pleasanton, County of Alameda, State of California, and is further designated and described as follows: SEE EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED HERETO AND M~DE A PART HEREOF 4. The Local Agency Formation Commission of Alameda County, California, approved the above described and proposed boundaries of said territory by resolution duly adopted June 20, 1968. 5. The time and place is hereby fixed when and where any person owning real property within the uninhabited territory described above and proposed to be annexed to the City of PleaSanton, and having any objections thereto, ~ay appear before the Council and show cause why such annexation should not take place, to wit:
