<br /> The hills and mountains near Pleasanton have a high
<br /> potential for recreational ure, ~ even the undeveloped
<br /> ~ .ar.e. excellent for such sctivitie~ as hiking and horse-
<br /> .oac~ nd.reg..The Fast ~Bay~'~'~egioml Perk District annexed
<br /> me. area in January, 1.966. Atpresent the District is devel-
<br /> oping a 5,000-acre site, the Sunol Val/ey Regional Park,
<br /> i.mm.ediately south of Pleasanmn. Develo~mant of other
<br /> sites in the hi/Is west of Pleasanton is und~ '¢i~mlderation.
<br /> Other regional park developments planned for the
<br />Pleasanton ares include land and water sport facilities st
<br />the Del Valle Reservoir, and the reclamation of a 200-sere
<br />quarry site on the outskirts of Pleasmmn. Among facilities
<br />ar the quarry will be an attractive eight-acre Lslre.
