CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 68-176 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO PROCEED ON, DAY-LABOR BASIS FOR GPJ%DING <br />KOTT INGER PARK <br /> <br /> The City Council of Pleasanton, California, did on Octo- <br /> ber 7, 1968, consider the bids submitted for the gradin~ <br /> of Kottinger Park~ and <br /> <br /> The City Council did, pursuant to Resolution No. 68-175 <br /> reject all bids which had been received for the grading <br /> of Kottinger Park~ and <br /> <br /> Following said rejection, the City Council considered <br /> evidence both oral and documentary bearing upon the <br /> question of whether or not the grading of Kottinger Par) <br /> could be performed more economically by day labor~ and <br /> The City Council being satisfied that considerable sav- <br /> ings in engineering costs as well as in costs of super- <br /> vision will result if the grading of Kottinger Park is <br /> done by day labor} and <br /> <br /> The City Council being impressed with the fact that the <br /> grading of Kottinger Park is peculi&rly unsuitable of <br /> being handled through the bidding procedure in that con. <br /> siderable control over the manner in which the gra~ing <br /> is~.dOxte m~S~befz~m~&~DA~l~!b~vthe City. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the grading of Kottinger Park may be performed <br /> more economically and practicably by day labor. <br /> <br /> 2. That the Director of public Works is hereby authorized <br /> and directed to proceed to perform the grading of <br /> <br /> <br />
