~HEREAS: <br /> <br />~EREAS'. <br /> <br />WNEREAS: <br /> <br /> ' ML ASANTON <br /> OOUNTY OF ALAMEi~. <br /> STATE OF ~ALIFORNIA. <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO, 6~-7q <br /> <br />ADOPTING RECOMMENDATION OF VALLEY PLANNING COMMITTEE <br />RE: APPERSON RIDGE AND SUNOL REGIONAL PARK <br /> <br /> The Planning Commission oflAlameda County has recommended <br /> to the Board of Supervisors of Alameda County that the <br /> application for a quarry permit on Apperson Ridge be <br /> approved subject to some twenty-five conditions; and <br /> <br /> It appears desirable and in the public interest that the <br /> City Council of the City of Pleasanton make known its <br /> feelings with respect to the proposed quarrying operation <br /> and <br /> <br /> On April 10, 1969, the Valley Planning Committee composed <br /> of representatives of the cities within the Livermore- <br /> Amador Valley and representatives of the County of Alsm~ds <br /> considered at length reports and recommendations of both <br /> proponents and opponents of the proposed quarrying opera- <br /> tion, and did, based upon such consideration, recommend <br /> to the Alameda County Board of Supervisors. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That the City Council does hereby adopt the recommenda- <br /> <br />tion of the Valley Planning Committee with respect to the <br /> <br />proposed quarry on Apperson Ridge as follows: <br /> <br />(1) T~at the Board of Supervisors be informed that the <br /> Valley Planning Committee declare that its main <br /> mission is directed to the careful scrutiny of any <br /> development project affecting planning and land use <br /> with particular subjects of interest to include <br /> <br /> ation and annexation proposals, public works <br /> projects, and open space programming with the <br /> notable involvement of park amd recreational facil- <br /> ities such as Sunol Regional Park. <br /> <br /> <br />
