CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY O1: ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA i~E.~OI.U~TION NO. 69-94 ESTABLISHING UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 69-1 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton as follows: WHEREAS: By Resolution No. 69-78, a public hearing was called for Monday, May 5, 1969, at the hour of 8:00 P.M., in the Pleasanton Justice Court Building, 30 West Angela S to ascertain whether the public necessity~, health, safety or welfare requires the removal of poles, o~ wires and associated overhead structures and the under- ground installation of wires and facilities for supply- ing electric, communication, or similar or associated service on the east and west sides of Main Street, from the north property line of Spring Street and the exten- sion thereof westerly across Main Street, to the South bank of the Arroyo del Valle; and WHEREAS: Notice of such hearing has been given to all affected property owners as shown on the last equalized ass roll and utilities concerned in the manner and for the time required by law; and WHEREAS: such hearing has been duly and regularly held, and all persons interested have been given an opportunity to be heard; NOW, THERSFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pleasanton hereby finds and determines that the public necessit health, safety and welfare require the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated structures, and the underground installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric, communication, or similar or associated service on the. east and west sides of Main Street, from the North property line of Spring Street and the extension thereof westerly across Main Street, to the south bank of the Arroyo del Valle, and such described area is hereby established as Underground Utility District No. 69-1. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Council of the City of Pleasanton hereby makes the following further findings with regard to Under- ground Utility District No. 69-1: The undergrounding to be accomplished pursuant to this resolution will avoid or eliminate an unusually heavy concentration of overhead distribution facilities. The streets, roads and rights-of-way in the District are extensively used by the general public and carry a heavy volume of pedestrian an~ vehicular traffic. The said streets, ro~ds and rights-of-way adjoin or pass through a civic area. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the following exceptions in said Under- ground Utility District No. 69-1 be and are hereby authorized, pursuant to Section 6, Ordinance No. 511:
