RESOLUTION NO. 69-1,39 RESOLUTION REJECTING CONSTRUCTION BIDS AND CALLING FOR RE- ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS, ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 1969-1, LONGVIEW, ~ITY OF PLEASANTON~ ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, on June 5, 1969, the City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, received bids .for the construction of improvements in Assessment District 1969-1, Longview; and WHEREAS, only two bids for said work were received, and both bids far exceeded the estimate of cost of the Engineer of Work for said Assessment District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton: That all of said bids for the construction of work in Assessment District 1969-1 are hereby.rejected. That said City Council hereby orderB that new bids shall be received for the doing of said work and improvements on the 3rd day of Ju1~,'1969, at 3:00 o'clock P.M. of said day. Said bids or'proposals shall be delivered on or before 3:00 o'clock P.M. of the 3rd day of July, 1969, at the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, City Hall, 603 Main Street, Pleasanton; California~ which said time and place are hereby fixed as the time and place of a Public Meeting at which said bids will be publicly Opened, examined, and declared by the City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton. Said bids after being publicly opened, examined, and declared, will be calculated by the Engineer of Work, their report returned to the City Clerk, and the report of the results of the bidding and the calculations of the Engineer of %{ork will be reported to the City Council of the City of Pleasant~n. The City Council reserves the ~tght to reject any and all propo- sals or bids should it deem this necessary for the public good, and also the bid of any bidder who has been delinquent or unfaithful in any former contract with the City of Pleasanton. -1-
