IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 69-162 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION RECONMENDING EXTENSION OF BCDC AND <br />FURTHER RECOMMENDING CERTAIN ASPECTS OF LEGISLATION <br />RELATING THERETO. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development <br />Com~ission was created by Stats. 1965, Chapter 1162, and charged <br />)rimarily with the responsibility for the preparation of a compre- <br />hensive and enforceable plan for the conservation of the water of <br />~an Francisco Bay and the development of its shoreline. Fending <br />the development of such plan, the Legislature placed certain con- <br />ditions on the filling of the Bay; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said legislation, the commission's <br />existence was for a limited duration, soon to expire; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Commission must file a final report with the <br />Governor and the Legislature not later than the 90th legislative <br />day of the 1969 legislative session; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Assemblyman Knox and other members of the Legisla- <br />ture have submitted bills to the Legislature which would, among <br />other things, extend the life of the San Francisco Bay Conservation <br />and Development Commission: <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Fleasanton that said Council does hereby take the followin <br />position on legislation involvinE the extension of the said San <br />Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission, to wit: <br /> <br /> 1. Favoring the BCDC plan as developed, which would protect <br /> the great natural resource, San Francisco Bay. <br /> <br /> 2. The continued existence of BCDC for such time as is <br /> necessary to protect and enforce the BCDC plan, and <br /> <br /> <br />
