CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 69-18~ <br /> <br />RE: CONSENT TO TRANSFER CARD ROOM PERMIT <br /> <br />WHEREAS: <br /> <br />WHEREAS: <br /> <br />WHEREAS: <br /> <br /> implying that no basis exists for <br /> <br /> transfer of an existing permit to <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. <br /> <br />The owner of the Pastime Pool Hall, one of two establish- <br />ments in the City of Pleasanton in which the playing of <br />cards is allowed, proposes to sell the Pastime Pool Hall <br />and transfer his card room permit to Steven Sparks; and <br />Ordinance No. 554, regulating card rooms requires that <br />the City Council consent to the transfer of any card roo~ <br />permit; and <br /> <br />The Police Department has investigated Steven Sparks, th( <br />proposed transferee, consistent with the requirements of <br />Ordinance 554, and has concluded that a permit could be <br />issued to Steven Sparks tooperate a card room, thus <br /> <br /> refusing to permit <br /> Steven Sparks. <br /> <br />That permission to John Shaw is hereby given to transfer <br />his card room permit to Steven Sparks with respect to <br />the carrying on of card room activities in the Pastime <br />Pool Hall. <br /> <br />BERNARD T.
