CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6Q.~gQ <br /> <br /> RE: PROPOSED P.U.C. RULE IN P.U.C. CASE NO. 8209 <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The City Council of the City of Pleasanton did, on <br /> <br /> August 18, 1969, consider taking a position with respect <br /> to the proposed rule developed by Commissioner Gatov and <br /> Examiner Gillanders arising out of PoU.C. Case No. 8209; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The City of Pleasanton currently requires undergrounding <br /> in all areas of new residential construction; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: It appears that the operation of P.U.C. Rule No. 20 will <br /> relatively quickly effect the conversion to underground <br /> from existing overhead utilities within the City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> (1) That the City Council protest any action taken by the <br /> Public Utilities Commission with respect to either con- <br /> version to underground of existing overhead Facilities o] <br /> the requiring of underground Facilities in areas of new <br /> construction which would affect or be likely to affect a <br /> rise in utility rates to utility consumers. <br /> <br /> (2) That the appropriate City officer be authorized and dire¢ <br /> ted to transmit a copy of this resolution to the Public <br /> Utilities Commission of the State of California. <br /> <br />DATED: Augmst 18, 1969 <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM~ <br />~ILLIAM A.
