CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 69-290 <br /> <br />EEVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR ONE <br />1-TON FLAT BED DUMP TRUCK <br /> <br />~HEREAS: <br /> <br />WHEREAS: <br /> <br />WHEREAS: <br /> <br />WHEREAS: <br /> <br />NOW, <br /> <br /> Bids for one 1-Ton Flat Bed, dump truck were solicited <br /> in accordance with bid specifications prepared by the <br /> City; and <br /> <br /> Six bids were submitted, said bids being opened at <br /> December 5, 1969, at City Hall. <br /> <br /> The bid of John Edgren and Sons in the amount of $3,829.. <br /> was the low bid; and <br /> <br /> It appears desirable and in the public interest that the <br /> possibility of equipping said truck to accommodate <br /> liquid petroleum fuel in order to reduce smog emissions <br /> be investigated. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the bid of John Edgren in the amount of $3,829.2q, <br /> submitted December 5, 1969, for one 1-ton flat bed dump <br /> truck is accepted, and the appropriate City officers <br /> authorized and directed to implement said acceptance and <br /> to, within one week report to the City Council with <br /> respect to the feasibility of equipping said truck in <br /> such a way as to accommodate liquid petroleum fuel in <br /> order to reduce its level of smog emission, and further, <br /> to give consideration to the feasibility of the City's, <br /> at its next budget session, equipping some or all of the <br /> rest of its vehicle fleet in such a manner as to accommo- <br /> date low smog emission fuels. <br /> <br />BERNARD T, GERTON, MaYor <br /> <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM <br /> <br /> WILLIAM Al HIRST, C)'ty Att~'~, <br /> <br /> <br />
