CiTY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RE~OLUTION NO- 69-245 <br /> <br /> URGING THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS TO PROVIDE AS <br /> QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE CAL-VET FINANCING TO THOSE TO WH0~ <br /> UNCONDITIONALFINANCIN~ CO~ITMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE AND URGING <br /> THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS TO PROVIDE AT LEAST <br /> INTERIM FINANCING TO THOSE TO WHOM CONDITIONAL COMMITMENTS <br /> HAVE BEEN MADE <br /> <br />WHEREAS: It has become apparent that, because of the inability of <br /> the State of California to sell bonds which fund the Cal. <br /> Vet Home Loan Program, many individuals in and about the <br /> City of Pleasanton have, even though qualifying for a <br /> Cal-Vet loan, been unable to obtain financing; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: It is understood that there will appear on the ballot in <br /> <br /> June of 1970 a proposition to amend the State Constitu- <br /> tion to raise the interest ceiling on the sale of bonds <br /> to support the Cal-Vet Program from the present 5% to 7% <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOL~0WS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the State Department of Veterans Affairs be reques- <br /> ted and urged to provide as quickly as possible Cal-Vet <br /> financing to those to whom unconditional financing <br /> commitments have been made. <br /> <br /> 2.
