CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 69-244 <br /> <br />URGING THE STATE LEGISLATURE TO TAKE POSITIVE ACTION IN <br />SUPPORT OF AN INCREASE IN THE INTEREST RATE FOR THE BONDS <br />USED TO FUND THE CAL-VET PROGRAM <br /> <br />~HEREAS: <br /> <br />WHEREAS: <br /> <br />It has become apparent that, because of the inability of <br />the State of California to sell bonds which fund the <br />Cal-Vet Home Loan Program, many individuals in and about <br />the City of ?leasanton have, even though qualifying for <br />a Cal-Vet loan, been unable to obtain financing; and <br /> <br />It is understood that there will appear on the ballot in <br />June of 1970 a proposition to amend the State Constituti< <br />to raise the interest ceiling on the sale of bonds to <br />support the Cal-Vet Program from the present 5% to 7%; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1.
