CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO~69-223 <br /> <br /> RE: AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR FIRST PHASE' DEVELOPMENT OF <br /> AMADOR VALLEY COM~f0NITY PARK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Plans and specifications for the first phase development <br /> of Amador Valley Community: Park were prepared and approve <br /> and bids for said work solicited; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Bids on said project were opened September 8, 1969; and <br /> WHEREAS, the low bidde~, Edward R. Griffin, .of Livermore, Cali- <br /> <br /> fornia, made a material clerical error in his bid which <br /> was discovered after the bids were opened and for <br /> withdrawal of the bid was requested; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the second and third low bidders, Gil Construction Com- <br /> pany and Armand and Smith Construction, Inc., were <br /> irregular in that Gil Construction Company failed to sub- <br /> mit :a list of sub-contractors and Armand and Smith <br /> Company failed t* file with its bid a "Certification by <br /> Bidder Regarding Equal Opportunity Employment"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, It appearing if Edward R. Griffin, because of his mistake <br /> is allowed to withdraw his bid, and if the irregularities <br /> connected with the bids of Gil Construction and Armand an. <br /> Smith Construction, Inc., late waived, ithe next lowest bid <br /> would be a combination of bid items No. 2, 3 and 4, relat. <br /> ing to Landscape Improvements, Mechanical Equipment <br /> Building, Bathhouse and Recreation Building and Swimming <br /> pools, ~especti~ely; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the low bid for bid items No. 2 and 3 was submitted by <br /> Armand and Smith Company, and for Item 4 by A. and J. <br /> Shooter, Inc. <br /> <br />NOW, THSREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That Edward R. Griffin, because of a material clerical <br /> error in computing his bid, is, pursuant to his written <br /> <br /> <br />
