CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION N O.._._.~:L~ <br /> <br /> AWARDING OF CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF TENNIS COURTS <br /> AT PLEASANTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Bids for the construction of two tennis courts at Pleasar <br /> ton Elementary School were~solicited by the City of <br /> Pleasanton; and <br />WHEREAS: On September 5, 1969, the bids were received, opened and <br /> <br /> reviewed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS$ It appearing that the bid submitted by Deetz Constructioz <br /> Company, Inc., contained a mathematical error, resulting <br /> in a substantially lower bid than if the error had not <br /> been made; and <br /> <br />W~EREAS~ The next lowest bid was submitted by Asphalt Surfacing <br /> Company, of Berkeley, California; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That Deetz Construction Company, because of an error <br /> <br /> apparent on the face of the bid is relieved of its bid. <br /> <br /> 2. That the bid of Asphalt Surfacing Company, in the amount <br /> of $13,969, for the construction of two tennis courts at <br /> Pleasanton Elementary School in accordance with plans <br /> and specifications prepared by the City is accepted. <br /> <br /> 3. That the appropriate City officers are authorized and <br /> directed to prepare and execute a contract with Asphalt <br /> Surfacing Company for the construction of two tennis <br /> courts at Pleasanton Elementary School. <br /> <br />~ATED: Sep. tember 8, 1969 <br /> <br />A rEST. <br /> <br />WILLIAM A.
