CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 70-217__ <br />APPROVAL OF AUTOMATED UTILZTY BILLINQ $~8T~ ~OR CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS; The City Council did, on October 19, 1970, consider the <br /> adoption and implementation of the automated ~tility <br /> billing system and, relying upon the w~itten report of <br /> the Assistant City Manager dated October 5, 1970, the <br /> written proposal of Optimum Systems, Inc. of August,1970 <br /> to the City of Pleasanton, the illustrated exhibits <br /> presented by Optimum Systems, Inc., the proposed agree- <br /> men~ between the City of Pleasanton and Optimum Systems, <br /> Inc. and other oral and documentary evidence submitted <br /> by City staff and Optimum Syst&ms, Inc., did conclude <br /> that approval of an automated billing system would effec' <br /> a considerable cost reduction and thus a savings to the <br /> tax payers of the City while, at the same time, substan- <br /> tially increasing the efficiency with which the City's <br /> utility billing is accomplished, .and <br /> <br />WHEREAS; The adoption of a utility billing system seems clearly t~ <br /> be desirable and in the public interest. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the automated utility billing system described and <br /> proposed in the report of the Assistant City Manager dat~ <br /> October 5, 1970 is approved and the appropriate City <br /> officers directed to implement said automated utility <br /> billing system as early as conveniently possible. <br /> <br /> 2. That the proposed agreement between the City of Pleasant~ <br /> and Optimum Systems, Inc., relating to the provision by <br /> Optimum 3ystems, Inc. to the City of computer services <br /> relating to an automated utility billing system is <br /> <br /> <br />
