RESOLUTION NO. 70-162 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHANGES IN TIlE WORK TO <br />BE MADE BY THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS OF TIlE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON, IN CONNECTION WITII ASSESSMENT <br />DISTRICT 1970-1, LONGVIEW, CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br /> <br />Pleasanton, Alameda County, California, as follows: <br /> <br /> The Director of Public Works, without further authori- <br />zation of the City Council is hereby authorized to order changes <br />in the work'! to be done in Assessment District 1970-1, Longview, <br />City of Pleasanton, Alameda County, California, under the follow- <br /> <br />lng conditions: <br /> <br /> TO correct clerical and technical errors in the plans; <br /> <br /> To modify the design of the project wherever good <br /> engineering practice indicates that the modification <br /> should be made; <br /> <br /> To adjust the design of the project to utility loca- <br /> tions, soil conditions, and other field conditions <br /> which were unknown or uncertain at the time the plans <br /> were prepared. <br /> <br /> HOWEVER, the Director of Public Works shall not be auth- <br />orized to approve change orders resulting in the increase in con- <br />struction costs aggregating more than the amount of contingencies <br />provided for in the Amended Engineer's Report heretofore approved. <br /> <br />by this City Council. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly <br />and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton, <br />Alameda County, California, at a regular meeting thereof, held on <br />the 15th day of July, 1970, by the following vote, to wit: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />Councilmen Beratlis and Mayor Reid <br /> <br />NOES: Councilmen Pearson <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen <br /> <br />Gerton and Spiliotopoulos <br /> HELEN C.
