CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 01-055 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE LIVERMORE- PLEASANTON FIRE DEPARTMENT JOINT POWERS AUTHORITY, TO EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE LIVERMORE- PLEASANTON FIRE DEPARTMENT JOINT POWERS AUTHORITY AND THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIREFIGHTERS, LOCAL 1974 WHEREAS, the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Joint Powers Authority, acting through the City Manager as Executive Director of the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Joint Powers Authority, and representatives of the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF), Local 1974, have met and conferred pursuant to the provisions of Section 3500, et seq., of the Government Code in regard to wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment for members of the IAFF, Local 1974; and WHEREAS, as a result of the above meet and confer process, a proposed Memorandum of Understanding between the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Joint Powers Authority and the IAFF has been prepared. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves and authorizes the City Manager, as Executive Director of the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Joint Powers Authority, to execute the Memorandum of Understanding between the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Joint Powers Authority and the IAFF for the term commencing August 1,2001 through July 31, 2007. Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT A MEETING HELD ON MAY 15, 2001 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE:
