O- 10 8 <br />PROCLAIMING MAY 17-23, 1970, TO BE REALTOR WEEK <br /> <br />WHERE AS, <br /> <br />Citizens of this community, and those throughout our <br />great nation, enjoy the benefits, security and prl~e of <br />home ownership as in no other country in the world; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Members of the Southern Alameda County Board of Realtors <br />have been the main instrumentality responsible for this <br />Ownership of homes through their efforts to match needs <br />of owners with homes available, counsel both buyers add <br />sellers, and guide them through the various steps neces- <br />sary to complete the purchase; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Under all is the land, and the citizens of this communit <br />have benefited as well from the Realtors' efforts to <br />protect the right of real property ownership; to provide <br />the community with a sound economy through the use of the <br />professional skills in locating, appraising, and manag- <br />ing factories, stores, office buildings, and apartment <br />complexes; and to improve our city through their dedica- <br />ted services in public office and the donation of pro- <br />fessional knowledge of real property for the good of the <br />community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Realtors, by pledging themselves to uphold a strict Code <br />of Ethics, assure experienced, ethical, and competent <br />handling of all real estate transactions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Realtors through their Make America Better Program have <br />taken positive steps against crime~.with their Light the <br />Night and drug abUse information activities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Members of the Southern Alameda County Board of Realtorsj <br />in conjunction with their more than 91,000 colleagues <br />throughout the United States are celebrating Realtor w~e~ <br />May 17-23, to acquaint the public with the high standar~ <br />of service rendered by Realtors; <br /> <br />NOW, <br /> <br />DATED: <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON does <br /> hereby proclaim the week of May 17-23, 1970, to be <br /> Realtor Week, and ask all citizens to Join with me in <br /> honoring the Realtors~is commu~ <br /> <br /> May 11, 1970 <br /> <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM <br /> <br />~llJ. l^~ A. ~IR~I', ¢ity'^ttorne] <br /> <br /> <br />
