WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 71-24 <br /> <br />RE: APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF LIVERMORE, <br />V.C.S.D., ZONE 7 OF THE ALAMEDA COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL <br />AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT AND THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON PROVIDING FOR THE SHARING OF COST INCURRED <br />IN CONNECTION WITH EMPLOYMENT OF A CONSULTANT FOR THE <br />PREPARATION OF A STUDY OF ALTERNATE SOLUTIONS TO THE <br />WATER QUALITY MANAGEMENT PROBLEM IN THE ALAMEDA CREEK <br />WATER SHED ABOVE NILES <br /> <br />the City is in receipt of a proposed agreement between <br />the Cities of Pleasanton and Livermore and the Valley <br />Community Services District and Zone 7 of the Alameda <br />County Flood Control and Water Conservation District <br />providing for the sharing of cost involved in the <br />employment of a consultant to study and suggest solu- <br />tions to the water quality management problem for the <br />Alameda Creek Water Shed above Niles; and <br />said agreement provides for a total cost to each party <br />of not to exceed $18,750 and designates Zone 7 of the <br />Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation <br />District as the party to administer the terms of the <br />agreement including the application for available <br />Federal and/or State grants related to water quality <br />management; and <br />approval of said agreement appears desirable in that <br />a study of water quality management problems is, as a <br />practical matter, necessary in order to satisfy the <br />standards set forth in a Tentative Order of the <br />California Regional Water Quality Control Board dated <br /> <br /> January 18, 1971. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. <br /> <br />That the provisions of the proposed agreement between <br />the Cities of Pleasanton and Livermore, the Valley <br />Community Services District and Zone 7 of the Alameda <br /> <br /> <br />
