CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 01-029 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REFERRING THE APPLICATION OF <br />CHAMBERLIN ASSOCIATES (PUD-81-30-84D) TO THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION FOR DESIGN REVIEW <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Chamberlin Associates applied for design review approval to construct a 44,250 <br /> sq. ft., two-story office at 5075 Hopyard Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - I/C-O (Industrial, <br /> Commercial and Office); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission denied the application and recommended that a study be <br />conducted to determine whether an office use was still an appropriate land use for <br />this site; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, within the time specified by the Pleasanton Municipal Code, the applicant filed an <br /> appeal of the Planning Commission's decision; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held before the City Council on April 3, 2001 on <br /> the appeal and the Planning Commission's recommendation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) was prepared in conjunction with PUD <br />approval for Hacienda Business Park and the proposed project is within the scope <br />of the EIR; therefore, no environmental document was prepared for this <br />application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council determined the proposed land use to be appropriate for the site; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />The City Council directs staffto initiate a peer review of the plans for the proposed <br />44,250 sq. ft., two-story office building at 5075 Hopyard Road and to present the <br />report to the Planning Commission for consideration in its design review of the <br />application. <br /> <br /> <br />
