CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 71-80 <br /> <br />RE: TRAFFIC REGULATION ON VALLEY AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Staff, City Traffic Committee, and City Council <br /> have spent considerable time reviewing traffic problems <br /> on Black and Valley Avenues as they relate to the <br /> <br />crossing of said streets by school children; and <br />WHEREAS, the residents of the area appear to be desirous of <br /> <br /> additional speed limit enforcement and a more effective <br /> <br /> notification drivers of the existence of schools <br /> to <br /> on <br /> <br /> said streets. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the Director of Public Works be instructed to place <br /> <br />school warning signs further in advance of schools on <br /> <br />Black and Valley Avenue and to place, on Valley Avenue, <br /> <br />signs indicating that speed limits will be checked by <br /> <br />means of radar. <br /> <br />2. That the appropriate City Officers be instructed to <br /> <br />DATED: <br /> <br />provide as much additional speed limit enforcement on <br /> <br />Valley Avenue as possible. <br />April 12, 1971 <br /> <br />ROBERT I.
