CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 71-98 <br /> <br />RE: WEED ABATEMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Resolution No. 71-82 set a hearing at which objections, <br /> <br />if any, to the City of Pleasanton's proposed weed abate- <br /> <br />ment program would be heard and instructed the City <br /> <br />Clerk to forward notice to affected property owners of <br /> <br />said hearing; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said hearing was set for May 3, 1971, at the hour of <br /> <br />8:00 P.M. in the Pleasanton Justice Court Chambers at <br /> <br />which said hearing no objections to said weed abate- <br /> <br />ment program were heard and the City Council by motion <br /> <br />so determined; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, implementation of the City's weed abatement program <br /> <br />should continue as quickly as possible in order that <br /> <br />weeds may be removed before they become flammable. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That the Fire Department, the Administrative <br /> <br />designee of the City Council for Weed Abatement purposes, <br /> <br />be instructed to proceed to implement the City's Weed <br /> <br />Abatement program and to negotiate a contract for weed <br /> <br />abatement, said contract to be reviewed by both the City <br />Manager and the City Attorney prior to signature by the <br /> <br /> of the City o s ton. <br />Mayor on behalf <br /> <br />May 3, 1971 <br /> <br /> ROBERT I.
