CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 71-88 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> RE: CHANGE OF CZTY OF PLEASANTON POLICY WITH REGARD TO <br /> VALLEY COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICT ANNEXATION OF <br /> CAMP PARKS <br /> <br />the City Council did, by Resolution No. 69-122, indicate <br />their strenuous objection to annexation by Valley Communi <br />ty Services District of areas east of the present boun- <br />daries; and <br /> <br />Valley Community Services District has indicated its lack <br />of willingness to provide utilities to land unless annexe <br />to the District; and <br />existing and potential transfers of all or portions of th <br />area within Camp Parks to various public agencies raises <br />the possibility that effective public use may not be made <br /> <br />of the publicly owned properties because of lack of <br /> <br />utility service; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That the City Council modified the expression of policy <br /> <br />contained in Resolution No. 69-122 to the extent that no <br /> <br />objection will be raised by the Pleasanton City Council <br /> <br />regarding proposed annexation by Valley Community Service <br /> <br />District of areas within Camp Parks located north of <br /> <br />Interstate Route #580 and south of the Contra Costa <br /> <br />Boundary which are either owned by or for which applica- <br /> <br />tion has been submitted by the Pleasanton Joint School <br /> <br />District, the Amador Valley Joint Union High School <br /> <br />District, <br />Retarded, <br /> <br />the Alameda County Association for the MentallyI <br />the East Bay Regional Park District, recognized[ <br /> <br />church groups, or the property owned by the County of <br /> <br />Alameda upon which the Santa Rita Rehabilitation Center is <br /> <br /> <br />
