~HEREAS , <br /> <br />~HE REAS , <br /> <br />IHEREAS , <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALl%MEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 71-114 <br />RE: YOUTH COUNCIL <br /> <br />)ATED: <br /> <br />the Community Concerns Com~ittee of the City of <br />Pleasanton provided to the City Council a report <br />dated March 1, 1971, dealing with the problems of the <br />young in Pleasanton; and <br />the City Council and Staff have studied on several <br />occasions the recommendations contained in said report <br />among which is a recommendation that the City Council <br />form a Youth Council; and <br />the report of the Community Concerns Committee contains <br />several guide lines for the establishment of the Youth <br />Council. <br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That there be established within the City of Pleasanton <br /> a Youth Council, said council to have eighteen (18) <br /> members from amongst the youth of the community and <br /> to conduct itself in the manner and with respect to <br /> the problems outlined in the report of the Community <br /> Concerns Committee to the City Council herein. <br /> <br />2. That the appropriate City Officers be instructed to <br /> take whatever action necessary to implement the action <br /> herein./' <br /> <br /> --R~RT I.
