CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 71-101 <br /> <br />RE: AUTHORIZING STAFF TO REQUEST OF PUBLIC <br />UTILITIES COMMISSION ALLOCATION OF FUNDS FOR <br />VARIOUS RAILROAD CROSSING IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN <br />THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has entered into agreements with the Southern <br /> <br />Pacific Transportation Company to improve railroad <br /> <br />crossings and install crossing gates at Abbie Street, <br /> <br />Ray Street, Spring Street, Neal Street and Angela Street <br /> <br />and with the Western Pacific Railroad Company for similar <br /> <br />improvements at the Santa Rita Road crossing; and <br /> <br />~HEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is eligible to receive reimburse- <br /> <br />ment from the P.U.C. railroad crossing protection fund <br /> <br />in an amount equal approximately 25% of the total cost <br /> <br />of provision of said crossing improvement. <br /> <br />IOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That the Director of Public Works be authorized to file <br /> <br />a request for allocation of funds with the Public Utilitie~ <br /> <br />Commission said funds to be applied to the installation <br /> <br />of railroad crossing improvements at the crossings here <br /> <br />)ATED: <br /> <br />and above referred to. <br />May 10, 1971 <br /> <br />ROBERT I.
