WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 71-250 <br /> <br />RE: NAMING OF CITY FLOWER. <br />the City of Pleasanton, in conjunction with <br />interested nurseries within the City, has sponsored <br />a contest to name a City Flower, which would be <br />representative of the City's traditions, heritage, <br />and consistent with the flora found in the Amador <br /> <br /> order <br /> . <br /> <br /> DATE: December 20, 1971 <br /> MAY OR <br /> <br /> Valley; and <br />WHEREAS, a list of some twelve flowers was transmitted to <br /> <br /> the City Council for its consideration. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. that the Don Juan Rose be and the same is herewith <br /> named the Official City Flower for the City of <br /> Pleasanton. <br /> that the appropriate City Officers, together with <br /> participating nurseries, be instructed to take <br /> whatever action necessary to implement the hereinabove <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />HELEN C.
