CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />NOW, <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 71-249. <br /> <br /> RE: AUTHORIZATION OF EXPENDITURE FOR CONTROL OF <br /> ODOR PROBLEMS AT SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT. <br /> <br />the City is presently operating its sewage treat- <br />ment plant under a Cease and Desist Order issued <br />by the Regional Water Quality Control Board; <br />the City's consultant, Kennedy Engineers, Inc., <br />has prepared a list of recommendations together <br />with costs associated therewith regarding work to <br />be done on said sewage treatment plant in order to <br />eliminate the odor problems and effect a lift of <br />the Cease and Desist Order presently outstanding; <br />and, <br />the report of the consultant recommends that some <br />$45,600. be expended on a first priority basis in <br />order to eliminate or alleviate the odor problems <br /> <br /> at the City's sewage treatment plant. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. that the City Manager be authorized to expend not <br /> to exceed $45,600. on first priority items as <br /> enumerated in the report of the City's sewage <br /> <br />consultant dated ~ <br /> December <br /> <br />December 20, 1971 <br /> <br /> R~BERT I. ~MAYOR <br /> REID, <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />HELEN '~. ~cCARTY, CITY CLE~ <br /> <br /> <br />
