CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 71-239 <br /> <br />RE: CORRECTION OF ODOR PROBLEM AT PLEASANTON SEWAGE <br /> TREATMENT PLANT <br /> <br /> , WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton's Sewage treatment plant has <br /> violated some of the requirements of the Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board, in particular those relating to <br /> odor production; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a panel composed of three members of the Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board did, on November 19, 1971, consider <br /> evidence both oral and documentary relating to the ques- <br /> tion of whether a cease and desist order should be issued <br /> against the Pleasanton sewage treatment plant; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it appeared that steps had been taken to correct all <br /> violations except those relating to odors with respect to <br /> which a monitoring program was still being conducted i <br /> pursuant to an order of the Regional Water Quality Controli <br /> <br /> Board issued approximately one month ago; ~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, upon accumulation of enough information from the monitor-! <br /> ing program the City's consultant, Kennedy Engineers, wil~ <br /> recommend to the City ways and means of correcting the <br /> odor problem. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the City Council of the City of Pleasanton herein <br /> manifests its intent to correct the apparent remaining <br /> deficiency in its sewage treatment plant relating to <br /> odor consistent with recommendations of its consultant, <br /> Kennedy Engineers, based upon the odor monitoring program <br /> ordered by the Regional Water Quality Control Board and <br /> consistent in every respect with the requirements of said <br /> <br />board. <br /> <br /> <br />
