I!WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 71-211 <br /> <br />RE: POLICY REGARDING PRIVATE SEWAGE <br />DISPOSAL SYSTEMS <br /> <br />Section 2-15.23 of the City's Ordinance Code <br />requires approval of all private sewage systems <br />by the City Council, <br />the City Manager has in a report dated October 12, <br />1971, recommended a set of guidelines pursuant to <br />which applications for permits to maintain private <br />sewage disposal systems may be considered; and <br />said guidelines appear to be desirable and in the <br />public interest. <br /> <br />1. A special permit for a private sewage disposal system <br /> may be approved by the City Council with the following <br /> conditions: <br /> a) Such private sewage disposal systems would only <br /> be approved for sparsely populated and outlying <br /> industrial and commercial developments. <br /> <br /> b The proposed system must be approved by the Alameda <br /> County Health Department, as well as all other <br /> appropriate public agencies. <br /> <br />~iNOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Chemical toilets will be acceptable for a maximum <br />of five (5) employees on the site. <br /> <br />A standard water-flushed sanitary system utilizing <br />a holding tank will be acceptable when employee <br />load exceeds five (5), but is less than fifty (50). <br />This holding tank must be pumped out at regular <br />and satisfactory intervals, in accordance with <br />with the specific conditions set forth in the <br /> <br /> <br />
