iWHERE AS , <br /> <br />CITY OF PLEAS~WTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 71-208 <br /> <br />:iWHEREAS , <br /> <br />i:,NOW, THEI~FORE, BE IT I:~SOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />RE: GROWTH POLICY FOR AREA OF CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON TRIBUTARY TO V.C.S.D. SEWAGE <br />TREATMENT PLANT <br /> <br />the City has pursuant to Ordinance 634 suspended the <br />granting of building permits within that portion of the <br />City tributary to the V.C.S.D. sewage treatment plant, <br />it appears likely that sewage capacity problems will <br />exist in this portion of the City for some time; and <br />it is desirable that certain guidelines be adopted <br />by the City to assist it in its consideration of <br />prospective development proposals of areas within the <br />City tributary to the V.C.S.D. sewage treatment plant. <br /> <br />1. That the staff and Planning Commission be instructed to <br /> <br />defer to the extent feasible or, in the alternative, <br /> <br />to unfavorably consider further annexations or develop- <br /> <br />ment, rezonings, and tentative maps until: <br /> <br />a. The V.C.S.D. Sewage Treatmemt Plant is expanded <br /> <br />and is capable of accommodating more development <br /> <br />over and above current commitments or July 1, <br /> <br />1973, whichever is earlier. <br /> <br />The City has received an accurate and feasible <br />timetable for the third phase expansion of the <br />V.C.S.D. Sewage Treatment Plant which would <br />increase its Plant capacity to eight plus or minus <br />million gallons per day or uhtil some other <br /> <br />feasible alternative exists. <br /> <br /> <br />
