CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 71-204 <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />PARTICIPATION IN FEDERAL EMERGENCY EMPLOYMENT <br />ACT OF 1971 PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Emergency Employment Act was signed into law July 2, <br /> 1971 and provides for transitional employment for unem- <br /> ployed and underemployed persons in providing needed <br /> public services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Alameda has been designated a program agent <br /> under the terms of the Act and has received an appropria- <br /> tion of $807,000, $11,263 of which is earmarked for the <br /> City of Pleasanton as an agent of the County of Alameda~ <br /> and <br /> <br /> 'WHEREAS, participation by the City of Pleasanton in the program <br /> sanctioned by the Emergency Employment Act appears desir- <br /> able and in the public interest. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That participation by the City of Pleasanton in the pro- <br /> gram sanctioned by the Emergency Employment Act as an <br /> agent of the County of Alameda to the extent of the <br /> federal appropriation thereas is approved consistent with <br /> the provisions of the Emergency Employment Act of 1971 <br /> and consistent with whatever, if any, terms and conditions <br /> <br />. are imposed upon the City of Ple~ ~ton as agent of the <br /> County of Alameda thereunder. <br /> <br />]DATED: <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />October 18, 1971 <br /> <br />Helen C. <br /> <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM <br /> <br /> <br />
