CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 71-201 <br /> <br />{WHEREAS, <br /> <br />RE: REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR <br />PROJECT 71-4 (BERNAL AVENUE REALIGNMENT) <br /> <br />bids were solicited for the construction of Project <br /> <br />71-4 (Bernal Avenue Realignment) and eleven (11) <br /> <br />bids were received, the last of which was from <br /> <br />Eastbay Excavating Company in the amount of $125,594.02, <br />some $5,500.00 higher than the engineers estimate; and <br /> <br />iWHEREAS, the reputation and reliability of Eastbay Excavating <br /> Company has been investigated by the Director of <br />i~ Public Works and found to be satisfactory. <br /> <br />iNOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That the low bid submitted by Eastbay Excavating <br />Company in the amount of $125,594.02 is approved and <br />accepted and the appropriate City Officers instructed <br /> <br />to prepare and execute on behalf of the City a contract <br /> <br />iDATED: <br /> <br />~TTEST: <br /> <br />iHelen C.
