CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 71-189 <br /> <br />RE: AWARD OF BID FOR FIRST STREET <br />RESURFACING PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />bids were solicited, consistent with the provisions <br />of the Government Code for public projects, for <br />the resurfacing of First Street~ and <br />eight bids were submitted for said project the <br />lowest of which was by Gallagher & Burk in the <br />amount of $22,985.00 which said bid was considerably <br />below the Engineer's estimate. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That the Gallagher & Burk Construction Company <br /> <br />as low bidder in the amount of $22,985.00 be <br />awarded the contract for resurfacing of First Street <br />and the appropriate City Officers instructed to <br />prepare and have executed on behalf of the City <br />a contract for said work with Galla <br /> <br />Construction Company. <br /> <br />September 13, 1971 <br /> <br />er & Burk <br /> <br />Helen C.
