CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 01-014 WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, RESOLUTION APPROVING A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON FOR THE BERNAL AVENUE BRIDGE AND ROADWAY WIDENING PROJECT AT ARROYO DEL VALLE AND APPROVAL OF THE MITIGATION AND MONITORING PLAN FOR THE PROJECT at its meeting of February 20, 2001, the City Council received a proposed mitigated negative declaration for the application of the City of Pleasanton for the Bemal Avenue bridge and roadway widening project at Arroyo del Valle; and the City Council received and reviewed the Initial Study dated January 12, 2001, and received the recommendations of the staff and Planning Commission; and a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed project; and the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative Declarations and Enviromnental Impact Reports; and the City Council finds that based upon the review of the Initial Study and the testimony and documentary evidence presented at the public hearing that there may be significant impacts on the environment, but that the City has proposed mitigation measures to render these potential impacts insignificant; and when an agency approves a project and adopts mitigation measures for potentially significant impacts disclosed by an environmental document, the project proponent is required by California law (Public Resources Code Section 21081.6) to establish a monitoring program to ensure that the mitigation measures are implemented; and the Mitigation Monitoring Program is provided in the attached Table 1 to address the specific topic areas discussed in the negative declaration for this project;
