CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 01-014 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A MITIGATED NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION FOR THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON FOR THE BERNAL AVENUE BRIDGE <br />AND ROADWAY WIDENING PROJECT AT ARROYO DEL <br />VALLE AND APPROVAL OF THE MITIGATION AND <br />MONITORING PLAN FOR THE PROJECT <br /> <br />at its meeting of February 20, 2001, the City Council received a proposed <br />mitigated negative declaration for the application of the City of Pleasanton for the <br />Bemal Avenue bridge and roadway widening project at Arroyo del Valle; and <br /> <br />the City Council received and reviewed the Initial Study dated January 12, 2001, <br />and received the recommendations of the staff and Planning Commission; and <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the <br />opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed project; and <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the <br />applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations and Enviromnental Impact Reports; and <br /> <br />the City Council finds that based upon the review of the Initial Study and the <br />testimony and documentary evidence presented at the public hearing that there <br />may be significant impacts on the environment, but that the City has proposed <br />mitigation measures to render these potential impacts insignificant; and <br /> <br />when an agency approves a project and adopts mitigation measures for potentially <br />significant impacts disclosed by an environmental document, the project proponent <br />is required by California law (Public Resources Code Section 21081.6) to establish <br />a monitoring program to ensure that the mitigation measures are implemented; and <br /> <br />the Mitigation Monitoring Program is provided in the attached Table 1 to address <br />the specific topic areas discussed in the negative declaration for this project; <br /> <br /> <br />
