WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 72-31. <br /> <br />RE: SUPPORT FOR PROPOSITION #2, PRIMARY ELECTION <br />BALLOT (SCHOOL BONDS), JUNE 6, 1972. <br /> <br />the Legislature enacted and the Governor signed <br />into law Chapter 105, Statutes of 1971, by <br />Assemblyman James Dent, providing for the <br />submission of Proposition #2 on the primary <br />election ballot, June 6, 1972, to authorize <br />the sale of $350,000~000 of State school bonds, <br />and <br />the Legislature enacted and the Governor signed <br />into law Chapter 118, Statutes of 1971, <br />by Assemblyman Leroy Greene authorizing the <br />State Allocation Board to apportion the proceeds <br />of $250,000,000 of such State bonds to help <br /> <br />271 school districts in 54 counties build earth- <br />quake safe schools for one million children <br /> <br />(20 percent of Statewide ADA) now housed in <br />structurally inadequate facilities built prior <br />to 1933, and <br /> <br />Proposition #2 would authorize the sale of such <br />$100,000,000 of State bonds for the continuation <br />of the State School Building Aid Program in <br />rapid growth, impoverished districts which have <br />exhausted their bond debt capacity, and <br />California law mandates by July, 1975 the <br />abandonment, replacement or rehabilitation <br />to Field Act standards of all schools built <br /> <br />prior to 1933, and <br /> <br /> <br />
