CITY OF PEON <br />COUNTY OF AMDA <br /> <br />ASSEMBLY BILL 505 - EXPRFaSING SUPPORT AND URGING <br />PASSAGE OF THIS BiLL BY THE CALIPO~NIA LEGISLATURE <br /> <br />W~EREAS, Assemblyman Deddeh, <br /> <br />WHERE~, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHERSk~S, <br /> <br /> Chairman of the Transportation Commit- <br />tee~ has introduced Asse~.ly Bill 505 which, in part, <br />requires that weighmasters withhold certified weight <br />tickets from vehicles carrying more than the legal gross <br />weight as defined by the Vehicle Code; and <br />streets of the City of Pleasanton have suffered excessive <br />damage due to such overloads over a period of years; <br />requests by the City to control such overloads at the <br />source have not to date been effective~ <br />most smaller jurisdictions, Pleasanton in particular, have <br />neither the personnel nor the necessary equipment to <br />enforce the Vehicle Code weight limits of all loads <br />passing through on their streets; <br />therefore, be it resolved asfollows: <br /> <br />i. That the City Council and the City of Pleasanton agrees <br /> with the intent of ABS05 and urges its passage by the <br /> California State LegislatUre. <br /> <br />2.
