CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE 0F CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 72-117 <br /> <br />RE: AUTHORIZATION TO FILE SUIT <br />AGAINST INSURANCE CARRIERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />NOW, <br /> <br />DATED: <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> the City has recently been advised by its <br /> insurance carriers that in the opinion of <br /> the carriers no coverage is afforded for <br /> losses allegedly sustained in lawsuits recently <br /> filed by certain property owners against the <br /> Valley Community Services District and the <br /> City of Pleasanton; <br /> court action may be advisable and desirable <br /> in order to ascertain the validity of the <br /> opinion herein. <br /> <br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the City Attorney be authorized to file <br /> suit contesting or clarifying the opinion of <br /> the insurance carrier for the City regarding <br /> liability of the insurance policies for losses <br /> the City may sustain as a result of lawsuits <br /> filed against the City by landowners within <br /> the City. <br /> June 26, 1972 <br /> <br /> <br />
