WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY 0F. ALAMEDA <br /> STATE 0F C/%LIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 72-148 <br /> <br />RE: REVIEW OF BIDS RECEIVED AND AWARD OF <br />CONTRACT FOR BONDE RESERVOIR CONSTRUCTION, <br />(PROJECT NO. 72-4). <br /> <br />the City solicited, consistent with the provisions <br /> <br />of the Government Code, bids for the construction <br /> <br />of Project No. 72-4 (Bonde IPaservoir) and bids <br />therefore were received and publicly opened July 6, <br />1972; and <br />the bids together with alternative submittals were <br />evaluated both by structural engineers retained by <br />interested bidders and by the City's consulting <br />engineer, water P~sources Engineers; and <br />the bid submitted by Precomp Tanks, Inc. of Kings <br />Beach, California in the amount of $221,738.00 is <br />the low bid and, as an alternate submittal, was <br />evaluated as provided above and found, as noted in <br />the written report on the City's consulting engineer <br />dated August 15, 1972, to have fulfilled the require- <br />ments of the City's plans and specifications that any <br />alternative submittal meet the same degree of con- <br />servatism so far as design is concerned as the <br />design specified in the basic plans and specifications <br />for said ~ob and that it provide the same degree of <br />performance, durability and serviceability. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the alternative submittal by Precomp Tanks, Inc. <br /> in connection with the construction of the Bonde <br /> <br /> <br />
