CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 72-161 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> SUPPORTING REVENUE BOND MEASURE E ON NOVEMBER 7, 1972, <br /> GENERAL ELECTION BALLOT RELATING TO PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION <br /> BY ALAMEDA COUNTY ZONE 7 FLOOD CONTROL AND WATER <br /> CONSERVATION DISTRICT OF WATER SUPPLY FACILITIES <br /> <br /> the Board of Directors of Zone No. 7 Alameda County Flood <br /> Control and Water Conservation District has initiated a <br /> program whereby water supply facilities, as proposed in <br /> the Revenue Bond MeasureE on the November 7, 1972, <br /> General Election Ballot, would be constructed upon <br /> approval of Measure E by the voters; and <br /> the proposed facility will increase the availability of <br /> water of considerably greater softness valley-wide; and <br /> upon voter approval of Measure E and completion of <br /> construction of the proposed facilities, it is the <br /> understanding of the City of Pleasanton that there will <br /> be occasions in the early years of plant operations <br /> whereby excess capacity will be available to be used to <br /> meet additional water requirements; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the City of Pleasanton supports Revenue Bond Measure <br /> <br /> E on the November 7, 1972, General Election Ballot~ <br /> <br /> 2. That it is the intention of the City of Pleasanton to <br /> purchase as much tre~e~ water as can be provided ~y <br /> Zone No. 7 within the economic limitations of the City. <br /> <br /> 3. That it is the intention of the City to obtain such <br /> additional treated water at reduced negotiated water <br /> rates in return for a decrease in the City's established <br /> Independent Quota. <br /> September 25, 1972 <br /> <br />DATED: <br /> <br /> <br />
