CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 73'106 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING GARY D. PATTON FOR HIS <br /> OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE CITY OF PLEA~ANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, we are all aware that this City is faced with a severe <br /> <br /> financial outlook over the next few years; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, stringent cutbacks in all programs and levels of service <br /> <br /> are mandatory; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is recognized by all that GARY D. PATTON has performed <br /> as the Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of <br /> Pleasanton in an outstanding manner and to a high degree <br /> of professional competence over the past eight years with <br /> this City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, he has chosen to seek employment of a more challenging <br /> nature which this City will not be able to provide due to <br /> its severe financial crisis; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED TEAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF PLEASANTON does hereby commend GARY D. PATTON for his <br /> outstanding service to this community and expresses this <br /> City's deepest regret that it will be losing his talents <br /> and abilitieS; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that GARY D. PATTON has shown extraordi- <br /> nary ability in many areas and has always demonstrated <br /> <br /> that he is resourceful, innovative, and competent; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURT}~ER RESOLVED, that MR. PATTON has played no small part <br /> in providing for community needs and assisting in the <br /> solutions to many problems.
