CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 73-128 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REAFFIRMING SUPPORT OF PROJECT ~ AS PROPOSED <br />BY ALAMEDA COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT ZONE 7 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Zone 7 of Alameda Ceunty Flood Control and WateE~rConserva- <br /> tion District received approval from the voters of the <br /> Livermore Amador Valley to improve and enlarge its water <br /> treatment plant located in said Valley; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a presentation was made by representatives of Zone 7 to <br /> the City Council at its meeting of July 23, 1973, regard- <br /> ing financing of said improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to indicate its position with <br /> <br /> regard to the project and the financing thereof by Zone 7; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Pleasanton supports <br /> the enlargement and improvements to the water ~emt- <br /> ~eu~o~M~nt belonging to the Alameda County Flood Con- <br /> trol and Water Conservation District located in the <br /> Livermore-Amador Valley and commonly referred to as <br /> Project 2, since this project will allow better water <br /> <br /> to be provided to the residents within this Valley. <br /> Section 2. The City Council is concerned, however, about the <br /> <br /> effect of any increased water charges which may be <br /> necessary to fund Project 2, and the Council believes <br /> that every effort should be made to provide funding <br /> for this project without placing a greater burden <br /> upon the taxpayers within the Valley. It is the <br /> express desire of the Council that Zone 7 attempt to <br /> achieve an equitable me~d of financing the project <br /> improvements contemplated by Project No. 2. <br /> <br /> <br />
