CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE 0F CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 73-167 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION INITIATING A CHANGE IN ZONING DISTRICTS <br /> BY THE INCLUSION OF A HILLSIDE PLANNED DEVELOPMENT <br /> (E.P.D.) DISTRICT AND REQUESTING PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> CONSIDERATION OF THE PROPOSED DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has within and adjacent to its <br /> <br /> corporate limits various hillside areas; and <br /> <br />MS, in order to regulate development on these hillsides and <br /> for protection of prominent ridges, it may be necessary <br /> to amend the zoning chapter of the Ordinance Code of the <br /> City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a planned development district limiting the number of <br /> dwelling units allowed as the slope of the land increases <br /> may be a feasible way of developing the hillside areasl <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Pursuant to S2-12.04 of the Ordinance Code of the City <br /> of Pleasanton, the Pleasanton Planning Commission is <br /> requested to consider proposed changes to Chapter 2 <br /> (Zoning), Title II (Zoning and Development) of the <br /> Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton to regulate <br /> hillside development by the establishment of a Hillside <br /> Planned Development (H.P.D.) Ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 2. City staff is directed to undertake the necessary <br /> studies to determine the feasibility and contents of a <br /> hillside ordinance and report its findings to the <br /> ning Commission. <br /> <br />Section 3.
